When the Child Is Gone

In a world divided it’s on its knees
There’s a tide to turn on this we all agree

If you build your house from the finest stone
It’ll can carry on when the child is gone

In a world defined by its endless greed
There’s a time to learn feel a stranger’s need

You can build you house from the finest steel
When the child is gone we no longer dream

It’s a race we’re running but its not our pace
You become aware there’s steeper hills to chase
But If you build your house on some solid ground
When the child is gone, letting go feels proud
